Amina Hassani was born in 1990 in Shahidan District in Bamyan province in Afghanistan.

Hassani has always lived in Bamyan. Since her father was killed by the Taliban during the war and her mother died soon after Hassani has been living together with her sole younger brother. Perhaps this is the reason she became interested in politics and fearlessly explains her views.

She has a special eye for portraiture and daily life and through her pictures she tells the story of this remote province.

Hassani became member of 3rd Eye Photojournalism Centre after completing a three-month training program in Bamyan.

Her pictures have been included in 3rd Eye group shows in Afghanistan and around the world.
