Sulaiman Edrissy was born in Kabul in 1982. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and currently taking a Master's Degree in International Business.
Sulaiman has more than 9 years of experience in project administration and project management and has worked with reputed organizations in Afghanistan, lately as Project Analyst with the Asian Development Bank. Beside that he is a freelance photographer/photojournalist.
As a photographer, he wishes to share Afghanistan to his Afghan fellows and rest of the world through his eyes. His passion for photography started in 2007, when he started taking photos of daily happenings in my neighborhood, portraits of people, and picturesque sights in Kabul and in different provinces. Later, Sulaiman taught himself photography from books like Michael Freeman's "Mastering in Digital Photography".
He firmly believes that world needs to see Afghanistan beyond the conflict it is experiencing because there are many other stories that his people and country has to share because photography is the only mean that people need to help them understand what’s going on in the world.
He believes that a strong portrait can connect the viewers with the subjects directly and through the subject’s expressions, one can get a feeling of the person’s emotions and state of mind and a photograph can powerfully convey an emotion and story, more than words. His goal is to create a large collection of work that presents Afghanistan through the art of photography by showing the natural beauty and the spirit of his country and its people.

He also draw portraits, creates contemporary art works, and enjoy playing the guitar.
